Hi,
My wife is stuck in Bangalore right now, as she was give a 221(g) pink slip on the 16th of Jan, 08. She's actually at school, with about 7-8 months left for graduation. She's getting a Phd in Molecular Biology. Spring semester has already begun, and she's missing a lot of research, and teaching.
When is a good time to contact the consulate? Many 221(g) cases even after her interview date have been cleared. I wonder what the hold up is.
Also, can you please elaborate on the PIMS and Security Clearance issue?

Hi,
I am wondering if anybody had done this before: I want to work part time (20 hrs/week) for 6 months( and no other job). I am on H1 but I also have EAD. So I am wondering if there are any implications to this such as I need to amend my H1b , because of some obscure law my GC process will be affected. Any input is appreciated.

I had a friend in the same situation. Had H1 and EAD. He worked halftime for two years to finish his MBA. Now went back to fulltime H1. I think your company has to approve it and yes he filed ammendment.

Went to school from 96 to 2000.
WOrking on H-1 since then.
Numerous trips outside. Last one in 2005 on an H-1 visa.
What do I do now?
That should not be any problem at all. I called my school's International office and they got my I20 from 99 scanned it and emailed it to me. I got it within half a day of making the call.

I'm not sure of the file format. I can't remember off the top of my head which type an eps doc is. I can say that swift will import any illustrator shape, or stroke. I think as a default it gives the object a 1.0 thickness.
If you have Flash, but no illustrator, no worries, because Flash will export any simple construct fills or strokes as a basic illustrator format.
I do almost all of my work in swift with imported shapes. (though the lathe and extrusion editors in swift are nice also)

I have similar situation with my EAD renewal too, my employer filed my EAD renewal, my I-485 case is pending in TSC (txed from NSC) but my renewal was sent to NSC, when enquired, following is the response I received back from my companies Immigration group,
"Renewal applications are filed based on the location of your residence, as per CIS requirements"
I am based out of MN, hence NSC.

Can we use automatic revalidation to enter USA without getting our visa's stamped. My h1 expired in 2006 and my spouse�s H4 expired in 2006.
(Remember my spouse is applying for H1 )
ANSWER:: No, with Canadian GC you can not enter USA for long term work, without stamping. I think entry for one month is permitted.
QUESTION:: How safe it is Frequent travel to Canada and back
ANSWER:: It is safe to cross US and Canada border, if you have multiple entry visa.
QUESTION:: How safe it is to stay in Canada for duration of 3-6 months and come back to USA
ANSWER:: As long as you are in H1 B there is no restriction. In future if you enter I-485, there are complications, if you continue to travel back and forth at that time too.
QUESTION:: Once my spouse gets the H1 approved, should he move to H1 immediately or can continue on H4?
ANSWER:: Once the H1 is approved and if the new I-94 is attached at the bottom of the H1 approval, then it means the status from H4 to H1 is transferred. If there is no I-94 then the status will get transferred while you get the visa stamping.

Looks like it is mistake. Is it your second FP appt? It is possible that they already have FP with them and I 140 and I 485 both approved on the same date - within an hour difference.

But after all my research, it's better to work with that employer A for say 1 or 2 years or if possible until you get GC for sometime and then move..
Since the PD is Mar 2005, hopefully you will get with in a year or year and half..

My question is Am i eligible to change company C
without working for company A( My GC sponsored company).Can I file AC21 without working for GC sponsored company? Please i need somebody advice.

Computer would not let officer open SR if your application is well within processing time. So I am not sure, how your SR was opened. Wait for your time to come and your GC would be approved.
