Another amazing day is about to dawn on us :)
I should clarify 2 items on the poll:
a) I have compressed 3 mini polls in one to get max info. So percentages wont make sense.
b) The post jan 15th 2005 is to know how many approvals did not have PD current. I see 4 people voting for it. I am not polling who is waiting with post jan 15 2005 PD.

Krilnon is right. I will clarify the whole making t-shirts thing later, but in a nutshell, feel free to set up a store and resell your own t-shirts if you want. If the shirt design is kirupa.com related and I (and maybe a few others) think it looks cool, I'll feature it on the site as well.
I have no interest in selling t-shirts directly or taking a commission or anything like that. I'll simply point people to your store (cafepress, etc.) instead.

I am planning to work part time on 1099, just wanted to know will it impact the GC process in anyway
My status
Working full time on EAD with GC Employer (planning to port job and use AC21 as soon as there is any opportunity)
485 pending since more than 6 months

As long as you are working full time with your GC employer and in addition to this you are doing a part time job on 1099 , it will not effect your GC processing in any way.

I have sent the request for renewal of my and my wife's advance parole to the USCIS about 10 days back.
Following is the list of documents that I have sent, along with a fees of $360, online (each)
- Copy of the Confirmation Receipt notice.
- Copy of I-485 petition.
- Current Status of I-485: Case received and pending.
- Copy of I-94.
- Copy of current approved I-512L, authorization for Parole of an Alien Into the United States.
- Copy of Passport.
- Two photographs.
- Copy of Drivers License.
Do I need to send any fingerprinting document?
Is there anything else that I need to take care of related to this request for advance parole renewal?

I am in the same situation. I am on my 8th year of H1 and this is for the first time I am have heard so much hoopla that has made me real nervous. My lawyer has advised me against taking any risk. I already have the tickets but I am planning to postpone, apply for EAD and only then go to India.
Please note that this is only me and I might have a comletely different risk tolerance than you might have.
I am planning to visit India during May 2011. I am working in multinational company as civil engineer (on H1-B). I have PhD from US uni. I am reading a lot about visa stamping probs these days. Please help me taking decision whether to take chance (& visit India) or not. will appreciate any advises especially from ppl with such recent experience. Thanks.

Would going to Canada and re-entering without going for visa stamping count as lawful entry??
Or one has to go and get the visa stamped to qualify as lawful entry??
Also when you go to Canada and come back Without VISA stamping, he gets the same I-94 or different I-94??

yes her AP is valid till end of this year. Would it be problem if i take her gc and give it to her outside us??
She can enter without any issue using AP. I was in similar situation when GC approved and mailed for my entire family when we were away from USA. All of us entered using AP without any issues.

My wife is on a H4 visa. Her visa is going to expire june 2010... she has to go to India later this month on a very urgent work....
So is it advisable to go considering the scrutiny at port of entry nowadays ???

Yes she can go as she has valid visa to come back. Let her carry your approval notice, recent employement letter and recent pay stub ... just in case they ask at POE. I don't think you should lose sleep over it. So what if there is additional scrutiny? If she hasn't done any wrong she should be alright.

I would appreciate any and all advice that anyone can provide:
My green card was sponsored by my husband, who has a GC. I was travelling out of the country on advance parole, when my passport got stolen, and I had to return to my original country to get a new passport issued, this took some months, during which, my advance parole to travel document expired. SO I could not enter the US. Then, a couple of weeks later, my green card approval, I485 was approved and a notice sent to me in the US. This was in June 2006. Since then, I have not received any other letter/notice, or the GC itself, and I am still stuck outside the US, without my husband. My lawyer is not doing naything about it, and I dont know what I can do?? I have tried contacting the 1800 number, and they say they put in service requests for me, but I have still not received any new information from that end as well, and each time, I have to wait 45 days before they can put in a new service request.
Help!!

Can anyone please share info on conversion of EB3 to EB2 after applying for 485 ?. Our lawyer now suggests that they cant apply for EB2 and they have to revoke EB3 application.. Is this applicable to even apply for EB2 labor and subsequent I140. I thought we need to revoke 485 only when we are about to apply for new 485. Also, please let me know if we can apply for EB2 when you are in EAD status and has not invoked AC21. Sorry, if this question was already answered in the forum.

Company B is saying that I can join the same day on which the H1B transfer packet is received by USCIS.
if the docs are delivered on SEP 01 2009 can I join on the same day, or I should join from SEP 02 2009
With the current trend and chances of improper filing, I would not recommend you to join based on delivery receipt. Instead, you can join after you receive the receipt notice or approval. If I were you, I would choose the latter.

The application will be adjudicated by a National PERM Processing Center. As the DOL does not currently have a processing schedule for PERM applications, we are unable to predict how long processing will take. In the past, PERM applications have been adjudicated anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Unfortunately, there is currently no way for beneficiaries to check the status of the application. We will contact you as soon as we hear anything specific regarding your case. "

It's not uncommon for text to be cut off when put inside a path. Perhaps the rest went missing and you didn't realize it since it all just looked like a bunch of binary code to you. It certainly does to me.
